Amends Section 99-5-13 of Mississippi Code to clarify that either the committing court or the court before which a person gave bail has jurisdiction to revisit bond amounts

Allows courts to reduce previously set bail by issuing a revised mittimus after a hearing if bail is found to be excessive

Permits courts to issue arrest warrants and require new bail if the original bail is found to be insufficient, after a hearing

Requires a hearing before any modification to bail amounts can be made

Effective date: July 1, 2016
