Allows exemption from ACT/Praxis Core entrance requirements for persons who were actively enrolled in an approved teacher education program before July 1, 2014.

Allows exemption from ACT/Praxis Core and GPA requirements for persons accepted to and actively enrolled in the Teach Mississippi Institute Program for teacher preparation before July 1, 2014.

Maintains standard five-year teacher licensure through approved program route and nontraditional teaching route for qualifying candidates.

Applies to Standard License - Approved Program Route and Standard License - Nontraditional Teaching Route categories only.

Takes effect upon passage of the bill.
