University of Mississippi Medical Center is authorized to lease a portion of its Jackson, Mississippi property to the American Cancer Society for up to 40 years, subject to Board of Trustees approval.

Leased property shall be used for an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge providing temporary housing to cancer patients and families, plus associated administrative office space.

Facilities must include approximately 8,000 square feet of office space, approximately 24,000 square feet of lodging space with approximately 35 temporary residential units, surface parking, and landscaping.

Property reverts to University of Mississippi Medical Center at the end of the lease term; all lease proceeds shall be deposited in a special fund for the university's benefit.

State of Mississippi retains all mineral rights to the leased property.
