West Lauderdale High School Cheerleading Squad won the Mississippi High School Activities Association State Championship in the Small Varsity Division in December 2015, marking the sixth state championship in school history.

Squad earned the title of National Champions in the Large Game Day Division at the Universal Cheer Association's National High School Cheer Competition in Orlando, Florida.

Head Coach Charlotte Chaney led the team with support from Assistant Coach Sara Freeman and choreographers Laura Posey and Johnny Taylor.

Championship roster included captains Darby Chaney and Leah Lott along with 17 team members.

Legislature commends and congratulates the cheerleaders, coaches, and school for bringing honor to West Lauderdale High School and the State of Mississippi.
