Recognizes and commends the American Tree Farm System on its 75th anniversary, to be celebrated June 12, 2016

Notes that Mississippi has more than 3,900 certified tree farms managed by individuals and families, encompassing more than 19.8 million acres statewide

Acknowledges that tree farmers practice sustainable forest management to provide benefits including clean water, clean air, wildlife habitat, renewable wood products, recreational space, and jobs

States the Legislature's policy to support family forests, family woodland owners, and the American Tree Farm System's efforts to preserve Mississippi's natural environment

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to the Woodlands Operating Committee Chairperson, Mississippi Forestry Association President, and Capitol Press Corps
