East Central Community College (ECCC) Warriors Football Team finished the 2015 season with an 8-3 record under Head Coach Ken Karcher, the college's best record since 1999.

Warriors qualified for the MACJC State Playoffs for the first time since 2001 and received their first bowl invitation in 19 years, winning the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl 35-21 against Kilgore College on December 5, 2015.

Team was ranked No. 10 in the final NJCAA Top 20 Football Poll and was one of only 14 community college teams nationally invited to bowl games in 2015.

Eight Warriors received postseason All-State honors, including sophomore safety Austin Balthazor who was named the 2015 HOT Bowl Most Valuable Player after returning a fumble 90 yards for a touchdown.

Head Coach Ken Karcher was named MACJC South Division Coach of the Year, and the resolution commends the team and coaching staff for their outstanding season and achievement of "Excellence with Class."
