Recognizes Pisgah High School Senior English Teacher Mrs. Lillian Sims and school administration for establishing Mississippi's first Academic College Signing Day on May 6, 2015.

Academic College Signing Day provides recognition and celebration for graduating seniors who have earned academic scholarships to college, mirroring the pageantry of athletic scholarship signings.

Pisgah High School is a Class 2A public school in Brandon, Mississippi, designated as "high-performing" by the Mississippi Department of Education for four consecutive years and recognized by U.S. News and World Report for seven years.

The 2015 Pisgah High School senior class earned a record $3 million in scholarship offers, with the school providing laundry baskets filled with college supplies to help students succeed in higher education.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Mrs. Sims, Principal Craig Yates, the Rankin County Board of Education, the State Board of Education, and Capitol Press Corps.
