Commends brothers Atticus and Silas Nelson from Desoto Central High School for winning the 2015 Mississippi High School Activities Association State Public Forum Debate Championship

The brothers won the district tournament at Madison Central High School, defeating 33 other teams to advance to the state championship

Atticus Nelson also won first place in the Impromptu Speaking Competition and was selected as one of five Mississippi students to compete at the 2015 USA World Schools Debate Invitational Competition in Dallas, Texas

Recognizes the DeSoto County School District's speech and debate program, which produced state champions despite being only five years old

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Atticus and Silas Nelson and the Capitol Press Corps
