House Resolution 31 commends William and Cala Tabb from Webster County, Mississippi, for receiving the National Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award on January 11, 2016, after winning the Mississippi state award in December 2015.

The Tabbs farm 2,600 acres of cotton, soybeans, corn, wheat, sweet potatoes, peanuts and produce, owning 500 acres themselves, after 13 years of dedicated work in agriculture.

As state winners, the Tabbs received a new Ford F-150, use of John Deere and Kubota tractors, and $2,300 in cash and technology awards from the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation.

As national winners, the Tabbs received their choice of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra and paid registration to attend the 2016 Young Farmers and Ranchers Leadership Conference in Kansas City, Missouri.

The resolution recognizes the Tabbs' innovation in farming operations, use of social media to promote agriculture awareness, and community involvement while raising four children.
