Commends the Simmons High School Football Team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association 1A State Championship on December 4, 2015, defeating Resurrection Eagles 25-9.

Recognizes the team's undefeated season with dominant performance, outscoring opponents 521-39, allowing only 18 points in the regular season and 21 points in playoffs.

Honors Coach Tavares Johnson as 2015 State 1A Coach of the Year, District Coach of the Year, and Delta Democrat Times Coach of the Year.

Recognizes individual player achievements including defensive standout Roderick Jarrett, quarterback Chandler Robinson, and Treveon Nelson named Delta Democrat Times Player of the Year and District Player of the Year.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Tavares Johnson and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
