Recognizes John McKay's 45-year career beginning in 1971 as the first full-time Recreation Director for Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Commends McKay for establishing the city's first tee ball, flag football, and soccer leagues and securing grants to construct multiple baseball fields and recreation facilities.

Honors McKay's service as Ward 5 Alderman for three terms (1989-1999) and his role in bringing the Vietnam Memorial to Ocean Springs.

Acknowledges McKay's four terms as Jackson County Supervisor for District 5 starting in 1999, during which he completed infrastructure projects including road signalizations, highway intersection redesign, and development of the Small Craft Harbor.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mr. McKay and the Capitol Press Corps.
