Mourns the passing of Mr. Jehu Cockerham, who died on March 4, 2016, at age 92, and honors his life and legacy in the Gillsburg, Amite County community.

Recognizes Mr. Cockerham's lifetime of service as Deacon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church beginning in 1961, for which he received a Lifelong Achievement for Leadership award in 2008.

Commemorates his work history including employment as a logger, longshoreman for United Fruit Company in New Orleans for ten years, and factory worker at McMillan Blowdell until his retirement in 1985 at age 62.

Acknowledges his marriage to Ms. Martha Dillon on January 22, 1944, their eight children, and his extended family of 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mr. Cockerham's family and the Capitol Press Corps.
