Commends Dr. Lee Childress, Corinth School District Superintendent, for being named Citizen of the Year by the Corinth Junior Auxiliary on April 2, 2016

Recognizes Dr. Childress's service as Superintendent since 2001, during which he oversaw construction of a new elementary school and launched the Cambridge Curriculum

Notes his prior experience as Assistant Superintendent from 1990-2001, Director of School Improvement for DeSoto County Schools, and social studies teacher at Clarksdale High School from 1981-1987

Acknowledges extensive civic involvement including work with Corinth Area Arts Council, United Way, Boys and Girls Clubs, Community Development Council, and Corinth Symphony

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Dr. Childress and the Capitol Press Corps
