Commends and congratulates Ms. Maya McInnis, a senior at Gautier High School in Gautier, Mississippi, for being named a 2016 Lindy Callahan Scholar-Athlete.

Recognizes Ms. McInnis's academic and athletic achievements, including participation in volleyball, soccer, softball, and basketball, plus musical performance in the school band and color guard, and her election as Miss Gautier High School.

Notes that Ms. McInnis received the award based on selection within her Mississippi High School Activities Association district and the 8th district, earning a $1,500 scholarship from MHSAA partners.

Recognizes her acceptance to Alcorn State University with a full scholarship, where she plans to pursue a degree in medicine.
