Reduces the timeframe for reimbursement of law enforcement training costs from three (3) years to two (2) years after an officer's employment date.

Requires a governmental entity that hires a law enforcement officer to reimburse the former employer for the full share of training expenses (rather than a proportionate share).

Applies when an officer resigns from or is terminated by one governmental entity and immediately becomes employed by another governmental entity in a law enforcement capacity.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
