SB 2131 Summary

• Increases the State Prosecutor Education Fund assessment on traffic violations from $1.25 to $2.00 per violation.

• Extends the Judicial System Operation Fund assessment through June 30, 2017 (previously set to expire June 30, 2016) and adjusts total state assessments on traffic violations accordingly.

• Raises the total state assessment on traffic violations through June 30, 2017 from $90.50 to $91.25, and from July 1, 2017 onward from $88.42 to $89.17.

• Maintains all other existing state assessments on implied consent law violations, game and fish violations, speeding/reckless driving violations, misdemeanor violations, and felony violations.

• Takes effect July 1, 2016.
