Driver Services Division authorized to enter written agreements with licensed insurance companies to monitor Mississippi driver's licenses and provide monthly reports on driving record changes.

Monthly reports shall only indicate whether a traffic violation was posted within the most recent month, without identifying specific changes to the driving record.

Insurance companies may use driver monitoring reports solely for reinsurance of current policyholders; other uses require information obtained through existing legal channels.

Driver Services Division authorized to charge $0.12 to $0.19 per month per monitored driver record, with half of collected fees paid to the State General Fund and half retained by the Department of Public Safety.

Amendments to Section 45-1-21 clarify that the Commissioner of Public Safety may establish fees for records and services unless fees are otherwise established by law; effective January 1, 2017.
