Amends Section 33-15-15 of the Mississippi Code to extend workers' compensation and death benefits coverage to personnel registered in the Mississippi Responder Management System who are not otherwise covered by existing emergency management provisions.

Registered responders in the Mississippi Responder Management System become eligible for compensation according to Mississippi Workers' Compensation Law for injuries, disability, or death occurring while responding to officially declared emergencies or during emergency preparedness training.

The Mississippi Responder Management System is a state system designed to facilitate health and medical response through identification, credentialing, and deployment of responders.

Renumbers existing subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f) accordingly to accommodate the new subsection (c) regarding registered responders.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
