Requires all state, county, and local law enforcement agencies in Mississippi to adopt written policies for investigating missing children reports in compliance with federal law (42 USCA Sections 5779 and 5780).

Mandates policies include procedures for accepting reports, conducting investigations, transferring information between jurisdictions, and maintaining National Crime Information Center database records with monthly case reviews.

Prohibits law enforcement agencies from establishing mandatory waiting periods before accepting missing-child reports or from discouraging reports based on a child's age or runaway status.

Requires law enforcement to immediately file reports, conduct search procedures, notify on-duty officers, and enter missing-child information into the National Crime Information Center database within federal timeframes.

Provides immunity from civil and criminal liability for persons or institutions who report in good faith that a child is missing; effective July 1, 2016.
