Transfer licensure and regulation of physician assistants from the State Board of Medical Licensure to the Mississippi Board of Nursing

Extend the automatic repeal date for temporary licensure provisions for physician assistants from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2020

Require that task forces or committees addressing physician assistant regulation include at least one nurse practitioner and one physician assistant selected from lists submitted by relevant professional associations

Maintain that supervising physicians must hold unrestricted licenses from the State Board of Medical Licensure and provide on-site supervision for new graduate physician assistants for 120 days

Effective date July 1, 2016
