Amends Section 25-1-87 of the Mississippi Code to allow the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to request unmarked vehicles when identifying marks would hinder official investigations.

Adds the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to the list of state officials authorized to request unmarked vehicles from the Governor, alongside the State Adjutant General, Commissioner of Public Safety, and other designated officials.

Requires written requests for unmarked vehicles to include the manufacturer's serial number, state inventory number, and explanation of why the vehicle should be exempt from marking requirements.

Maintains existing requirement that the Governor furnish the State Department of Audit with a copy of written authority for any unmarked vehicles authorized.

Takes effect upon passage.
