Removes the requirement that waters of oyster reefs closed by the Commission on Marine Resources be tested between 5 and 10 days after closure.

Maintains the commission's authority to close oyster reef areas to protect public health and prevent over-harvesting or damage to future oyster crops.

Keeps the requirement that oysters on closed reefs must be tested before reopening, but eliminates the specific timeframe for conducting those tests.

Updates terminology to reference the "Department of Revenue" instead of "State Tax Commission" regarding nonprofit tax exemption documentation.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
