Mandates local school boards advertise superintendent positions through newsprint, internet, social media, or professional search companies.

Allows superintendents elected in November 2015 to complete their terms, but any vacancies must be filled by board appointment rather than election.

Repeals sections 37-5-61 through 37-5-75 and section 37-9-12 effective July 1, 2016, eliminating provisions for petition and referendum processes to change superintendent positions between elected and appointed status.
