Expands felony expunction eligibility to any felony that is not classified as a crime of violence under Section 97-3-2, replacing the previous list of specific qualifying felonies.

Allows a person to petition for expunction of one felony conviction five years after successful completion of all sentence terms and conditions.

Limits each person to only one felony expunction under the revised statute.

Requires the petitioner to provide ten days' written notice to the district attorney before any hearing and allows courts to grant expunction if the applicant is determined to be rehabilitated.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
