Department of Public Safety may lease the former State Crime Lab building in Jackson, Mississippi to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors for use by the Hinds County Medical Examiner.

Hinds County Board of Supervisors must pay all utilities, repairs, equipment maintenance, and improvements in lieu of rent.

Hinds County may enter interlocal agreements with Rankin County (at Rankin's discretion) and other counties to use the building, with costs limited to proportional utilities and improvements only—no rent charged.

Department of Public Safety and Department of Finance and Administration may terminate any lease or sublease agreement with at least 90 days written notice upon sale, relocation, or renovation of the department's headquarters at 1900 East Woodrow Wilson Avenue.

Act takes effect upon passage.
