Prohibits youth court judges from appointing state employees as designees to perform judge-required duties; designees may not be involved in law enforcement or employed by the State of Mississippi.

Requires youth court intake unit appointees to be employed by the county or municipality rather than the state, with salaries fixed by the judge and paid from county or municipal funds.

Transfers responsibility for maintaining the state central registry of youth court cases from the Office of Youth Services to the Administrative Office of Courts.

Requires youth courts to furnish case information to the Administrative Office of Courts through the Mississippi Youth Court Information Delivery System (MYCIDS) or other forms.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
