Mourns the death of former State Senator William C. "Son" Rhodes of Vancleave, Mississippi, who died on August 16, 2015, at age 84.

Honors Rhodes' service in the Mississippi State Senate from 1972 to 1984, where he chaired the Oil and Gas and Marine Conservation Committees and was active on public health and Gulf Coast issues.

Recognizes Rhodes' military service during the Korean Conflict, his career as a teacher and football coach at East Central High School, and his membership in various civic organizations including the American Legion, VFW, and Elks Lodge.

Expresses the Legislature's sympathy to Rhodes' family, including his son Landon Rhodes, former wife Mary Rhodes, and surviving sisters Dorothy Kite and Elaine Johnson.
