Extends sympathy of the Mississippi Legislature to the family of Dr. Juniper Yates "J.Y." Trice, who passed away on February 5, 2016, at age 94

Recognizes Dr. Trice's service as Mayor of Rosedale, Mississippi, for 16 years and his role as a pastor for 38 years in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church

Honors his career as a school principal and superintendent for 40 years, and as Executive Director of Bolivar County Council on Aging for over 30 years

Notes his historic achievements as the first African-American President of South Delta Planning and Development District and first African-American Chairman of the State Education Finance Commission

Directs the resolution be presented to Dr. Trice's surviving family and forwarded to the Mayor of Rosedale
