Recognizes Alcorn State University School of Education and Psychology for achieving Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accreditation on October 27, 2015

Acknowledges Alcorn State as the first Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the nation and the first institution of higher learning in Mississippi to achieve CAEP accreditation

Commends the collaborative efforts of administrators, colleagues, community, students and supporters in meeting the new rigorous professional standards for teacher preparation

Directs the resolution be presented to the President of Alcorn State University, the Dean of the College of Education, and forwarded to the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning
