Mourns the passing of Church of God in Christ Superintendent Emeritus Earnest Joseph Johnson, who died January 28, 2016, at age 88 after a lifetime of spiritual leadership in Mississippi.

Commends Johnson's 52+ years of pastoral service, including leadership roles as Superintendent of District 10 (1984) and District 7 (1993-2013), and First Administrative Assistant (1992-2013).

Recognizes Johnson's contributions as a licensed contractor who designed and constructed multiple churches throughout Mississippi, including St. Luke Church in Vicksburg and Zion Chapel Church in Bolton.

Extends the Legislature's sympathy to Johnson's surviving family members, including two sons, five grandchildren, two great-grandsons, five siblings, and extended family.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Johnson's surviving family and the Capitol Press Corps.
