Commends Master Sergeant Terry Miles on his retirement after 30 years with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks as a Conservation Officer.

Recognizes his 36 years of service with the U.S. Armed Forces, including three combat tours in Afghanistan, achieving the rank of Command Sergeant Major with the 2nd Battalion 20th United States Special Forces and earning two Bronze Stars.

Highlights his achievements including being named Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2013, rescuing approximately 25 boaters from the Mississippi River in the current year, and leading a search that recovered over $150,000 in stolen equipment in Claiborne County in 2015.

Notes his community involvement through teaching hunter education and boating safety classes, training rookie officers, and holding a Third Degree Black Belt in Karate.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Master Sergeant Miles and the Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
