Commends and congratulates the Bogue Chitto "Lady Bobcats" girls basketball team and Coach Christi Terrell for winning the Class 1A State Championship on March 10, 2016, their sixth state title and first since 1995.

Bogue Chitto defeated Shaw 57-31 in the championship game at the Mississippi Coliseum, finishing the season 31-3 with a 21-game winning streak averaging 32.2 point margins of victory.

Senior guard Zariah Matthews led the championship game with 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and four assists, scoring 22 points through three quarters.

Names 15 players on the championship roster including Matthews, Shakirianna Jefferson, and Taneshia May, along with Coach Christi Terrell.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Terrell and Interim Principal Garette Sartin, forwarded to the Lincoln County Board of Education, and distributed to the Capitol Press Corps.
