Robert "Bob" Braddy, legendary Jackson State University baseball coach, was announced as one of seven inductees to the National College Baseball Hall of Fame on March 31, 2016.

Braddy coached Jackson State's Tigers for 28 seasons, accumulating 824 wins and 12 Conference Championships with three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Braddy received numerous honors including NAIA District Coach of the Year twice, SWAC Coach of the Year eight times, induction into the Tigers' Sports Hall of Fame (1985), SWAC Hall of Fame (2005), and was the first African-American coach inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2003).

The 2016 National College Baseball Hall of Fame class will be inducted on July 1-2, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas as part of the Annual Night of Champions Celebration of College Baseball.

The resolution commends Coach Braddy upon his induction and directs that the resolution be presented to him and his family, forwarded to Jackson State University leadership, and provided to the Capitol Press Corps.
