Mississippi applies for an Article V constitutional convention under the provision allowing two-thirds of state legislatures to call a convention for proposing amendments.

The convention application is limited exclusively to proposing a constitutional amendment that would establish term limits for members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

This application will be aggregated with similar applications from other states toward the two-thirds threshold needed to require Congress to call a convention on congressional term limits, but cannot be combined with applications on other subjects.

The application constitutes a continuing application that remains in effect until at least two-thirds of state legislatures have submitted equivalent applications for a term limits convention.

The Secretary of State must transmit a certified copy to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Mississippi's congressional delegation, and presiding officers of all state legislatures.
