Commends and congratulates Dr. Mike Thompson of Holly Springs, Mississippi, for being named State Veterinarian of the Year 2016 by the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association.

Recognizes Dr. Thompson's career achievements, including graduating from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 with honors, receiving the Young Veterinarian of the Year Award in 1997, and becoming Board Certified in Theriogenology (Reproductive Medicine) in 2007.

Notes that Dr. Thompson currently serves as President of the Society for Theriogenology and has taught classes and lectures on veterinary reproduction nationwide while chairing regional and national conferences.

Acknowledges his 30-year marriage to Terry Gabbert Thompson, his two children (Dr. Rebecca Wright and Josh Thompson), and his active involvement as a Deacon, Choir Member, and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Holly Springs.
