Requires all educator preparation programs in Mississippi to include training in Dyslexia Awareness Education as a mandatory component of coursework beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year for early childhood, elementary, secondary, special education, and school administration degree programs.

Makes dyslexia awareness training a condition for state approval of educator preparation programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels that lead to state teacher or administrator licensure.

Brings forward Section 37-3-2 of the Mississippi Code relating to the Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education, Certification and Licensure and Development to codify existing requirements for teacher and administrator licensing.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
