Authorizes county boards of supervisors and municipal governing authorities to advertise bids for purchases over $50,000 online on a designated Department of Finance and Administration webpage for 21 days, instead of publishing in a newspaper, provided they have given bid specifications to at least two vendors

Permits county boards of supervisors to publish monthly board proceedings and minutes on the county website instead of in a newspaper, with proceedings required to remain online for a minimum of 21 days after initial publication

Maintains existing newspaper publication requirements as an alternative option for both bid advertisements and board proceedings

Applies to the 2017 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature with an effective date of July 1, 2017
