Adds paragraph (28) to Section 43-13-115 to expand Medicaid eligibility to individuals under 65 years of age who are not pregnant, not enrolled in Medicare Parts A or B, and whose income does not exceed 133% of the federal poverty level.

Eligible individuals under the new paragraph (28) shall receive benchmark coverage or benchmark equivalent coverage as defined under Sections 1937(b)(1) or 1937(b)(2) of the federal Social Security Act, as amended.

Division of Medicaid is responsible for determining eligibility for individuals covered under paragraph (28).

The expansion aligns with authorization under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Effective date is July 1, 2017.
