MS HB115

Amends Section 43-13-115 of Mississippi Code to expand Medicaid eligibility for children in foster care under state custody and financial responsibility.

Makes children under 18 years old in foster care eligible for Medicaid, removing the previous requirement that they be at least 18 years old.

Extends Medicaid coverage for eligible foster children until their twenty-first birthday, as certified by the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
