MS HB1219

Directs the Division of Medicaid to abolish all managed care programs, coordinated care programs, and coordinated care organization programs at the earliest possible date allowed under existing contracts with providers.

Removes extensive regulations previously governing managed care programs, including requirements about provider payment rates, prior authorization limits, and preferred drug lists.

Takes effect upon passage and requires contract termination procedures to comply with existing provider agreements.

Repeals the entire Medicaid services section (Section 43-13-117) effective June 30, 2018.
