• School districts with "A" and "B" accountability ratings are exempted from reporting student grades, annual legal audits of discipline plans, submitting work reports to superintendents, participating in textbook selection, completing state surveys, and fulfilling continuing education unit requirements for teacher license renewal.

• State Board of Education must develop a grant program exclusively for "A" and "B" rated school districts to fund innovative educational programs.

• School attendance officers must visit the home or place of residence of a compulsory-school-age child within 72 hours of an unexcused absence to consult with the parent or legal guardian; schools must report all absences to the attendance officer by end of each school day.

• Licensed teachers employed in schools with "A" or "B" accountability ratings are exempt from continuing education requirements for license renewal.

• Effective July 1, 2017.
