Requires the Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association to write property and casualty insurance policies on homes certified with a FORTIFIED Home designation by the Institute for Business and Home Safety.

Mandates that licensed architects, engineers, or inspectors certified by the Department of Insurance determine whether a dwelling meets the criteria for "fortified home" status.

Amends Section 83-34-5 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to add this requirement as a new subsection (2) to the Association's powers and duties.

Effective date is July 1, 2017.
