Expands felony record expungement eligibility to include any felony not defined as a crime of violence under Mississippi Code Section 97-3-2, removing the previous limit to specific offenses.

Allows individuals to petition for expungement five years after successful completion of all terms and conditions of their sentence for nonviolent felonies.

Maintains one-time expungement limit per person for felonies under this provision.

Requires petitioners to provide ten days' written notice to the district attorney before any hearing and allows courts to grant expungement upon determining the applicant is rehabilitated.

Effective July 1, 2017.
