Amends Section 99-19-83 to require life imprisonment without parole, probation, or early release for persons convicted of a felony with two prior felony convictions where all three felonies are crimes of violence as defined by Section 97-3-2.

Amends Section 99-19-81 to require maximum term imprisonment for persons convicted of a felony with two prior convictions that are crimes of violence, with sentences not subject to reduction, suspension, parole, or probation.

Changes the habitual offender statute to focus on prior violent crime convictions rather than all prior felonies for sentencing enhancement purposes.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
