Amends Section 99-19-71 of the Mississippi Code to add embezzlement (under Sections 97-23-19, 97-23-25, 97-11-29, 97-23-21, and 97-11-27) to the list of felonies eligible for expungement.

Allows individuals convicted of embezzlement to petition for expungement five (5) years after successful completion of all sentence terms and conditions, with a limit of one (1) felony expunction per person.

Requires petitioner to provide ten (10) days' written notice to the district attorney before any expungement hearing and requires the court to determine if the applicant is rehabilitated.

Upon expungement, a nonpublic record is retained by the Mississippi Criminal Information Center for first-offender determinations, and the district attorney may retain a nonpublic record for law enforcement purposes only.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
