Amends Section 99-35-103 of Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (d) allowing interlocutory appeals by the prosecution in criminal cases involving crimes of violence as defined in Section 97-3-2.

Permits the state to appeal adverse rulings made before jury trial or guilty plea when the ruling would prevent introduction of evidence relevant to proving an element of the offense.

Appeals must be filed in compliance with Rule 5 of the Rules of Appellate Procedure.

An interlocutory appeal under this provision stays prosecution of the offense and tolls the statute of limitations under Section 99-17-1 for the period pending resolution of the appeal.
