Requires local school boards to adopt and implement a policy limiting class sizes for gifted education students to ensure appropriate instruction and grade level attainment.

Sets maximum class sizes for gifted education at 20 students per classroom in elementary schools (Grades K-4) and 25 students per classroom in middle and high schools (Grades 5-12).

Mandates school boards adhere to guidelines in Section 37-151-77 when adopting class size reduction policies to maintain district qualification for Adequate Education Program (MAEP) funding.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
