MS HB1460

Authorizes the City of Fulton governing authorities to construct, expand, operate, and maintain water and gas systems up to 15 miles outside the city's corporate limits.

Caps rates charged to customers outside city limits at no more than twice the rate charged to customers within city limits for the same service.

Does not exempt the city from obtaining a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity or from Public Service Commission regulation of rates under Mississippi Code Section 77-3-1 et seq.

Takes effect upon passage.
