Appropriates $27,838,404.00 from the State General Fund and $306,340,591.00 from special funds to the Mississippi Department of Health for fiscal year 2018 (July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018).

Allocates $20,000,000.00 to the Trauma Care System, including $7,023,197.00 from court assessments and $1,805,859.00 for Emergency Medical Services.

Allocates $20,000,000.00 from the Tobacco Control Program Fund for various health initiatives including $4,250,000.00 to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Institute and $3,060,000.00 to the Mary Kirkpatrick Haskell - Mary Sprayberry Public School Nurse Program.

Authorizes 1,202 permanent full-time positions, 5 permanent part-time positions, 953 time-limited full-time positions, and 5 time-limited part-time positions for the Department of Health.

Appropriates $52,016,019.00 for the Local Governments and Rural Water Systems Improvements Board and $3,908,028.00 for the Mississippi Health Information Network.
