Lowers the permanent service-connected disability rating required for veterans to qualify for a disabled veteran motor vehicle license tag from 100% to 50%

Qualified veterans can purchase one motor vehicle license plate annually for $1.00 total, regardless of vehicle make or model, with exemption from all ad valorem and privilege taxes

Expands qualifying disability certification to include not only the Veterans' Administration but also other appropriate federal agencies responsible for administering veterans' affairs

Surviving spouses of deceased qualified veterans may retain the disabled veteran tag and continue annual renewals as long as they remain unmarried

Violations of this section, including attempting to obtain benefits fraudulently, carry penalties of at least $1,000 fine and/or at least 90 days in county jail
